“I Don’t Want To Be Pregnant But I Don’t Want An Abortion”
Finding out you’re pregnant can be scary. You don’t want an abortion, but you’re afraid of the consequences of being pregnant. You’re not alone. Many women decide abortion isn’t the right decision for them. We’re here to help.
It’s Your Choice
First of all, it’s important to remember that, whatever you decide, it’s your choice. No one can make this decision for you. Although it’s important to consult other people, such as trusted mentors or medical professionals, ultimately you are the one who knows what’s best for your baby’s future — and for yours. You have several different options. Listen to your heart. Even though you didn’t choose to be pregnant, you are in charge of what happens next.
You Have Options
It’s important to remember that you do have options. Just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean that becoming a parent is not the only choice available to you. If abortion is not an option you want to consider (for whatever reason), your other options include adoption and parenting.
Adoption
Adoption is beautiful. It can also be emotionally challenging, but it is a completely selfless decision that allows you to give your baby the life you imagined for her or him. There are different kinds of adoption, and you get to choose what works for you. Do you want to choose the family? Would you like to get regular updates from them? Would you prefer not to be involved? Whatever you envision, we will support you and find a loving family that will partner with you.
Parenting
Being a parent is wonderful, but it also comes with lots of responsibility. If you’re considering parenting, there are many important questions to ask, including if you are financially ready to care for child. Though it is hard, sometimes choosing not to parent is the most loving and responsible choice you can make.
